As a UX Designer, I strive to enhance user satisfaction and loyalty by improving the usability, ease of use and pleasure provided in the interaction between the user and the product. Part marketer, part designer, part project manager; the UX role is complex, challenging and multi-faceted. The aim is to connect business goals to user's needs through a process of testing and refinement to that which satisfies both sides of the relationship.
As a UI Designer, I am responsible for the transference of a product's development, research, content and layout into an attractive, guiding and responsive experience for users. Similar to my role of UX Designer, my role as a UI Designer is a multi-faceted and challenging role. However, unlike my role as UX Designer, it is strictly a digital profession.
Currently, I am employed as a UX Designer for a financial firm in St. Louis, MO. I work with business stakeholders/analysts to understand requirements and build design concepts. I create customer experience maps, low, medium and high-fidelity interactive prototypes, and conduct accessibility testing on new/updated web applications. My experience includes Agile Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
